Section One

Hello Everyone, My full name is Karmvir Singh and I am an international student in Cambrian College, Sudbury, ON, Canada. I am studying Civil Engineering Program in 2nd year. However, I work part time for McDonald’s as a Shift Manager. I have plethora of hobbies, but my favorite hobbies are listening to music and playing volleyball with friends. If we talk about my background, I am from India and I live in a joint family. In my family, we are 4 members currently. My father is not anymore and my mother is housewife. She raised me and always help me whenever I was stuck in any problem. Moreover, I moved to Canada in 2019 for educational purposes because the education system of Canada is different than in India. I have lots of planning about my future. I would like to be a CIVIL Engineer and want to play an important role in the field of Construction. My aim is that I would build my own house and buy a new car when I have lots of money. Hope I would be successful in my career.

The reason why I took Truth and Reconciliation is that I wanted to learn more about Indigenous people and their life and the interesting thing I have learnt a lot about them in the course. Hope, I would do my best my best in the end of course and get passed with good grades.

Section Two

I would like to select Education from 94 calls to action and I would discuss about education Calls to Action in the upcoming paragraphs. This call is important for me because I am learner and I personally think that education is important for everyone to be successful in the life. However, I think that education is thing which pay us in the future and make our life easier. On the moving further, Education should be crucial for all persons who living in Canada because education is highly valued by Canadians as they have recognized the impact that a strong education system has made to the Canadian way of life simply by being what they are and they can teach kids about the society where they live in. In the end of this I want to say that if all persons would be educated then we would be able to shape a better society to live in by knowing and respecting rights, laws and regulations.

The Canadian education system is very good and unique so at least everyone should have a degree from any of the institute from Canada. The legacy of colonialism link to education at the some extent as it reproduce a political and economic things for the newly independent nations. Colonialism create a desire to disassociate with native heritage and it also increase the sense of self confidence in person. Education calls to action is to play a significant role in our lives because it let government know what are the weak and strong points of Canadian education system and where should they work with better amount of funds. By improving this we improve our generation and education system for domestic and international students as well.

Education (6-12) considered to be “In Progress – Projects Underway”.
